Apple Unveils iPad Pro Powered by M4 Chip
Fourth-Generation Custom SoC Delivers Industry-Leading Power and Performance

Apple has announced a new line of iPad Pro tablets powered by its latest M4 chip, the fourth generation of its custom-designed silicon. The M4 advances the industry-leading power and performance of its predecessors, making the new iPad Pro the most powerful device of its kind, according to Johny Srouji, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Technologies.
Built using second-generation 3-nanometer technology, the M4 is a system-on-a-chip (SoC) that integrates a powerful CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. The new chip delivers up to 20% faster CPU performance and 40% faster GPU performance compared to the previous generation. This enables the iPad Pro to handle demanding tasks such as video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming with ease.
In addition to its performance enhancements, the M4 also features improved power efficiency. Apple claims that the new chip provides up to 15 hours of battery life on the 11-inch iPad Pro and up to 20 hours on the 13-inch model. This makes the iPad Pro an ideal device for all-day productivity and entertainment.
The new iPad Pro is available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, with a variety of storage and connectivity options. Prices start at $799 for the 11-inch model and $1,099 for the 13-inch model. The tablets will be available for pre-order on October 18th and will hit stores on October 26th.
